Over 60s

We commenced the second half of our bowls season at Elmore.

It was a mild, sunny day with a slight breeze. 24 teams arrived for the 11am start. Two grass greens had been well prepared.

Today there was only one three-game winner; Moama (Barry Barbary (skip), Ken Donald, Brian Hill, John Ryan).

Two teams with two and a half wins played off for the runners-up position.

Runners-up: Kyabram (John Boardman (skip), Les Grills, Barry Evans, Ian George).

Third: Lockington (Roly Head (skip), Jim Harris, Geoff Shawcross, Kalvin Stout).

A good crowd stayed for the presentation. Well done Barry Leheny and Allan Gerrish, the Elmore club delegates.

All clubs please note the following delegate changes; Mathoura club delegate Stan Limbrick (0457 275 760), Moama club delegate Brian Kirk (03 5482 2526). Brian is replacing retired delegate Alec Montgomery.

Tongala is next week’s venue for Wednesday, January 17. Starting at 11am.
